As our business continues to grow, we're seeking an Installation Project Manager to join our Operations team. If you're a hands-on project leader with experience in landscaping construction and want to contribute to something that matters, we want to hear from you.
About the RoleThe Project Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of on-site work related to playground installation, landscaping and associated activities. You'll oversee subcontractors, liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure each project is delivered safely on time and to the highest quality standards
This position requires strong project coordination skills, fulfilment of timelines, problem solving capabilities, and will require you to gain a full understanding of relevant Australian
Standards for playgrounds. With multiple projects running simultaneously, your coordination skills, attention to detail and client-first mindset will be key to ensure a smooth workflow across all sites, leading to high client satisfaction.
Projects are primarily located in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, with occasional interstate travel required.

Key Responsibilities:Subcontractor and Site Management
Engage, schedule and oversee sub-contractors including playground installers, landscaping teams, earthworks contractors, under surfacing providers, demolition contractors and shade/ infrastructure suppliers.
Coordinate the efficient allocation of subcontractor resources across multiple sites
Review and approve installation layouts, set height datums, and resolve layout and compliance challenges as they arise.
Monitor installation quality and WHS compliance, ensure prompt rectification of any defects
Validate contractor documentation and approvals pre-and during projects.
Sign off on contractor performance and approve progress payments upon satisfactory completion
Client Liaison
Maintain proactive communication with clients to confirm schedules, resolve queries and manage expectations throughout each stage of the project
Obtain client approval for layout changes and variations
Facilitate practical completion and client handover process, ensuring satisfaction and readiness for public use.
Site Assessment and Execution
Perform site assessments, measurements and levels prior installation
Coordinate installation of required site safety controls such as fencing, signage and barricades
Identify and confirm underground services or coordinate utility locating as necessary. Evaluate supply contracts to ensure all site conditions are met
Manage minor on-site tasks to complete project scope eg. adjustments, final component
installation.
Ensure thorough clean-up, site rectification and rubbish removal on completion Conduct final quality compliance inspections at project close.
Administration and Reporting
Perform data entry and project tracking using HubSpot CRM and other internal systems
Contribute to project documentation including scope changes, completion records and issues logs
Support reporting requirements for safety, compliance and quality assurance Maintain digital records and file management for each project
Attend internal and external meetings as required, including site meetings, project
handovers and team briefings.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Demonstrated experience managing construction of landscaping projects, with a strong
preference for playground or public open space works.
Competence in managing subcontractors and trades across diverse disciplines Solid knowledge of WHS procedures and on-site compliance
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and excel, project management tools a bonus Familiarity with playground equipment and surfacing standards is advantageous.
Occasional hands-on skills for example - unload truck, move or shovel ground, use of a cordless drill.
LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Australian Driver's License
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) - can be obtained later.
