The Austin FPS also provides contraception and abortion care for the people of our local community. Contraception care is mostly for patients unable to access it through primary care, either due to complex medical needs or those requiring procedures to insert long-acting reversible contraception

About the role
\n
General Practitioners (GPs) employed in theGynaecologyDepartment are expected to provide high level contraception and abortion care within their approved scope of clinical practice as part of theGynaecologyteam at Austin Health.
\n
All GPs are expected to be able to provide specialist contraception and abortion care as well as having skills in General Practice.
\n

About you
\n
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
\n
\n - Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
\n - Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, or equivalent.
\n - Haveappropriate trainingand experience applicable to the field of Gynaecology.
\n - Demonstrate a commitment tohigh qualitypatient care.
\n - Interest/passion for providing support,educationand supervision to early career doctors.
\n
