General Medicine Trainee | Rural Referral Hospital | NSW
We are currently speaking with General Medicine Trainees interested in joining a substantial rural referral hospital in New South Wales. This is a strong opportunity for doctors seeking broad inpatient medicine exposure within a well‑supported regional service, with meaningful clinical responsibility across general medicine and acute care.
This role is well suited to PGY3+ doctors, unaccredited registrars and international doctors looking to strengthen their physician training profile before entering a formal college pathway. The department has recently promoted unaccredited General Medicine trainee opportunities within a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
This substantial rural referral hospital is a 280‑bed service and a major trauma referral centre, providing a full range of medical, diagnostic and surgical services to a large regional catchment. Core services include General Medicine, Kidney Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Paediatrics, Rehabilitation, Intensive Care support, Surgery and a 24‑hour Emergency Department.
Doctors in this setting benefit from hands‑on clinical exposure, consultant‑supported practice and the opportunity to develop confidence across a wide regional case mix before progressing into accredited training pathways.
