Overview
As an UP Foundation English teacher you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and delivery of the following units:
- XPD001 English 1: This is a core unit designed to improve students’ knowledge and understanding of English language skills and techniques. The curriculum aligns with CEFR English proficiency B1.
- XPD002 English 2: This is a core unit that extends the learning and skills developed in English 1 within the context of Australian history and culture
- XPD003 English 3: This is a core unit designed to further improve students’ knowledge and understanding of English language skills and techniques. The curriculum aligns with CEFR English proficiency B2.
The above 3 units comprise a 0.75 FTE role. There is also an opportunity for a suitable applicant to take on a 4th unit to bring the role to full-time:
- XPD013 Media Studies: This is an elective unit in which students develop knowledge and understanding of key theories and concepts relating to the study of mass communication in a historical, local and global perspective.
