Position SummaryWere on the lookout for a hands-on and proactive Field and Logistics Support Officer to coordinate and support on-Country operations across a variety of projects. From heritage surveys and environmental monitoring to cultural visits and meetings, youll be the backbone of logistics — ensuring everything runs smoothly, respectfully, and on time.
This role works closely with internal teams, Traditional Owners, and external stakeholders to make sure PKKP people can safely and comfortably access Country. A strong focus on planning, communication, and equipment management is key.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate travel, accommodation, equipment, supplies, and permits for field trips
Liaise with internal teams to support the scheduling and delivery of heritage and cultural programs
Engage with PKKP Traditional Owners and support their involvement in on-Country activities
Track and maintain field assets and consumables
Ensure WHS compliance and cultural protocols are met at all times
Join field trips as needed to support operations alongside staff, Traditional Owners, and consultants
Were looking for someone whos organised, practical, and respectful in working with Aboriginal communities. Youll bring strong logistical skills and a no-fuss approach to getting things done in remote environments.
Essential Skills:Experience in field logistics, remote operations, or similar
Strong planning and coordination ability
Excellent communication and cultural awareness
Familiarity with vehicle/equipment management
Sound understanding of WHS and risk in remote settings
Self-motivated and a strong team player
Experience with Aboriginal organisations
4WD and remote area driving experience
Knowledge of Pilbara land and heritage
First Aid certification
Familiarity with logistics or asset tracking tools
A meaningful role supporting cultural connection and heritage
