Partnered with our host Cass Cooling, we are seeking expressions of interest from Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentices wh in all aspects of air conditioning services to a range of sectors including mining, industrial, commercial, education, health and residential while completing a UEE32220 Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration qualification.

Our host is based in North Rockhampton.

As an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice you will be involved in the servicing, installing and repairing of commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration units.

Duties will include:

• Attaching piping to refrigeration systems using sleeves, couplings or unions and solder joints to form a complete system
• Drilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cutting, bending and thread piping
• Working at heights and confined spaces
• Heavy lifting and climbing ladders 
• Servicing - washing and cleaning

• Full time 4-year contract including paid annual and personal leave

• Mon - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Our host is looking for someone who has a passion to learn about the trade and industry, has good communication and time management skills, and isn't afraid to ask questions.

You must have a good mechanical aptitude, enjoy problem solving, and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

• Reliable vehicle and current manual driver's licence 
• Punctual and reliable
• Good safety awareness
• Construction White Card
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous industry experience advantageous but not essential
• Positive attitude and genuine interest in the trade
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and an understanding of hand tools
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
