About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Executive Officer to support the Executive team in leading divisional operations and driving strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of divisional activities, ensuring effective engagement with staff and stakeholders.
• Support corporate processes including planning, financial management, wellbeing initiatives, and continuous improvement.
• Manage input into briefings, estimates, and departmental requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Assist the First Assistant Secretary with day‑to‑day operations, risk management, and priority alignment.
• Collaborate across the Division and Department to support delivery of shared services and strategic goals.

Skills and Capabilities

• Proven leadership and initiative, with a proactive approach to improving divisional and departmental outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and build respectful relationships.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills, including risk assessment and mitigation.
• Understanding of best practice approaches to project and program delivery.
• Sound understanding of APS practices, corporate requirements, and project delivery methodologies.
