Engineering Transformation & Strategy Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Fleet Planning & Optimisation, the Engineering Transformation & Strategy Specialist role will support the delivery of Transformation and Strategy best practices. The successful candidate will actively engage with Engineering & Maintenance and Operations stakeholders to lead, drive, and support operational strategic improvements and business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational data sets, analysis, and relationships with the analytical community across E&M, Operations, and the company, becoming the go‑to specialist in specific systems and data sets.
• Benefit valuation of initiatives either working directly with the business units or supporting project managers and subject matter experts.
• Regular financial reporting of transformation progress.
• Model data and business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
• Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy, transformation or consulting roles, or Finance FP&A experience.
• Analysis of Engineering data to drive transformation or continuous improvement outcomes.
• Finance cost analysis, forecasting, optimisation, project benefits, financial reporting, or management accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusting, effective ongoing business relationships with diverse groups of people across the organisation.
• Ability to interpret complex data, and draw, visualise, and present recommendations to stakeholder groups.
• Advanced Excel skills and/or Power BI skills.
