The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Earthworks Superintendent to join our clients construction project based in WA. The key responsibilities will be scheduling, forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and subcontractors.

You will be responsible for:

  • Attending/leading daily pre-start meetings to address all site requirements
  • Scheduling, forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and subcontractors
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the project. 
  • Monitoring weekly/monthly program and identifying delays
  • Achieving daily productivity targets
  • Managing/monitoring project costs
  • Resolving daily site issues
  • Collaborating with project managers and other project stakeholders
  • Identifying hazards and assessing and managing risk/s through regular safety inspections and assist with audits and environmental risk assessments

Key experience/skills required:

  • Civil/Construction Superintendent experience or similar - earthworks, roads, concrete & structures.
  • Be a team player, hands on with a flexible attitude, happy to assist when necessary and lead from the front
  • Understanding or experience in civil earthworks and road construction highly regarded
  • Ability to manage sites, personnel, plant and subcontractors independently
  • Ability to positively influence and lead a team, including subcontractors
  • White Construction Card, Relevant High-Risk License & EWP will be well regarded.
