Early Childhood Educator - Certificate III

ABOUT THE ROLETo provide quality early childhood education and care in line with the National Quality Framework in programs that reflect the children and families of the service using inclusive practices that support families cultural, socioeconomic and individual situations. In fulfilling this purpose, the incumbent is required to be familiar with, support and act in accordance with the Parish Vision and Mission and the objectives of St Joseph’s Family Services as they relate to this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will have relevant experience in an early childhood setting through study or work-based practicum or employment. They will have basic knowledge in education and care regulations and national quality frameworks, child development and play based curriculums. They will have a passion for working with children and families and an ability to act as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviours and language. The role requires a commitment to ongoing development, an ability to prioritise work tasks, self-lead and work effectively within a diverse team. They will have sound written and oral communication skills and have the commitment to work in harmony with catholic values and principles.
