With strong growth across our brand, we’re looking for a capable and practical Production Manager to take ownership of day-to-day output within our sourdough bakery.

This role is central to keeping our production floor running smoothly, safely and efficiently while maintaining the product standards our customers expect.

We manufacture a full range of sourdough breads for our own retail stores, as well as for a growing base of wholesale partners. As Production Manager, you’ll be hands‑on in leading the team, managing workflow and ensuring production targets are met without compromising quality.

• Lead, support and drive the production team to meet daily volume, quality and efficiency targets
• Oversee all daily production operations, including quality checks, issue resolution, logistics coordination and maintenance
• Manage production planning, scheduling and roster requirements to ensure consistent output
• Recruit, train and develop team members to build capability and strengthen performance
• Implement, monitor, and continually improve production standards, SOPs and operating processes
• Lead by example in safety, creating a strong safety culture to ensure all OHS expectations and policies are met
• Promote teamwork, communication and accountability across all areas of the production floor

You are a steady, confident leader with proven experience overseeing teams in a food production or bakery environment. You understand the pressures of fast‑paced operations and know how to keep people, processes and product quality on track.

• Solid understanding of retail bakery or food manufacturing operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate staff at every level
• A quality‑driven mindset with an eye for continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and rostering systems
• Excellent numeracy and written communication abilities
• A sound understanding of OHS and a commitment to safe working practices
• A proactive, adaptable approach and a willingness to grow with the business
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late finishes or weekends when required
