The Opportunity

\n

We're looking for skilled, driven individuals to join the E-7A Wedgetail program at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands‑on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems. You will:

  • Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion,
  • \n
  • Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations.
  • \n
  • Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
  • \n
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
  • \n
  • Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel.
  • \n

What you will bring to BDA

\n

As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

    \n
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Structures)
  • \n
  • Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
  • \n
  • Hold a current driver's licence.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
  • \n
  • Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
  • \n
\n

This role may require travel and periods working away from home. It's a great chance to immerse yourself in a different environment with our customer while carrying out the duties of the role.
