Manufacturing company located in Brookvale on Sydneys Northern Beaches we manufacture pressed metal door frames, solid core doors and fire-resistant doors.

About the Job

With full unrestricted Australian working rights, you will be working under the direction of the factory supervisor in a small team assembling fire rated and solid core doors.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•  Sizing of raw materials

•  Assembly of door components

•  Cutting and gluing of edge strips

•  Application of PVA adhesive to door faces

•  Lay up of doors

•  Pressing of doors

•  Moving of doors

•  General cleaning including sweeping work areas, general removal of rubbish maintaining and ensuring a clean safe and unobstructed working area clear of trip hazards

•  Other duties as directed

Skills & Experience

Qualifications: No qualifications required but Fork Lift License, qualifications in Carpentry or Cabinet Making are highly regarded

Experience: At least 12 months experience in similar role within the manufacturing industry desired but not essential

Skills:

• Use of air and power hand tools

• Physically fit - ability to stand for long periods of the day

• Use of panel saws

• Use of glue rollers

• Loading and unloading of hydraulic press

• Good time-management

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Ability to follow direction

Working Hours (excludes public holidays)

Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00

Friday 07:30 to 13:30
