The Opportunity We are looking for a Director of Product Management to define and lead the next phase of product innovation for Datavant's Legal & Insurance vertical. This leader will own the product strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for the vertical's enterprise product portfolio - reimagining how legal and insurance organizations access and derive insights from health data across the Datavant network. You will lead and grow a team of product managers responsible for core products that power health data exchange and insights for legal and insurance customers. Working closely with engineering, data science, operations, and design, you will drive the modernization of the vertical's enterprise offering and deliver new capabilities that leverage both Datavant's network and AI powered technologies . This role requires a leader who can operate simultaneously at three levels: Strategic: defining long term product vision and market positioning Organizational: building and scaling a high performing product team Executional: driving complex, cross functional product initiatives The ideal candidate thrives in complex ecosystems, understands how to build platforms that scale, and is excited to leverage AI to both accelerate product development and deliver transformative capabilities to customers. What You'll Do Define and Own Product Strategy Define the long term product vision and strategy for the Legal & Insurance enterprise product portfolio. Identify opportunities to leverage Datavant's health data connectivity network to create differentiated products, data capabilities, and insights. Translate customer needs, market dynamics, and technological innovation into a clear and compelling roadmap. Own product outcomes including customer adoption, product performance, and long term market differentiation. Build and Lead a High Performing Product Organization Lead and develop a team of product managers responsible for key areas of the Legal & Insurance product portfolio. Establish a high bar for product thinking, customer understanding, and execution. Create an AI native product organization , where teams leverage modern AI tools to accelerate discovery, decision making, and product development. Mentor product managers and help scale product leadership across the organization. Drive Cross Functional Execution Partner closely with engineering, data science, operations, and design to deliver complex product initiatives. Lead the modernization of the vertical's enterprise offering , evolving the platform to support new capabilities, scale, and customer needs. Navigate complex technical systems, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows to deliver reliable and scalable products. Deliver AI Powered Innovation Identify and deliver opportunities to embed AI driven insights and automation into customer workflows. Leverage AI across the product lifecycle to increase team velocity, improve product quality, and accelerate innovation. Help position Datavant as a leader in AI powered health data workflows for legal and insurance industries. Influence Company Strategy Partner with executive leadership to guide product investments and priorities. Represent the Legal & Insurance market internally and contribute to Datavant's broader product strategy. Ensure product decisions align with both customer impact and long term platform scalability. What You Bring 8-12+ years of product management experience , including ownership of complex enterprise or platform products 5+ years of experience leading product management teams Proven experience defining and executing product strategy for large scale enterprise or data driven platforms Experience building products centered around data exchange, analytics, insights, or workflow automation Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams through complex product initiatives Experience leveraging AI in product development and delivering AI powered capabilities within products Strong ability to influence executive leadership, engineering leaders, and cross functional partners Experience operating in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, finance, or legal is a plus Strong systems thinker who can balance long term platform strategy with near term execution Why This Role The legal and insurance industries depend on health data to resolve claims, litigate cases, and make critical decisions. The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $193,000-$242,000 USD To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID 19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case by case basis.
