About the role

Meerilinga is seeking an experienced Lead Educator who can confidently run a pre‑kindy room while taking on curriculum leader responsibilities at our Coolbellup Children and Community Centre. This is a hands‑on, classroom based role, working directly with children each day while leading and guiding the educator team.

About you
  • Hold a CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience leading an early learning program.
  • A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework Version 2.0 including a thorough knowledge of the planning cycle.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 2-5 years, including children with additional needs.
  • Ability to collaborate, encourage, and inspire Educators towards continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in role modelling innovation and creativity within Early Learning programs.
  • Demonstrated experience building respectful and meaningful partnerships with families.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Proven ability to work in a culturally competent and inclusive manner.
  • The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of child protection law and procedures.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Aspire to work in a not‑for‑profit organisation where you can attach greater meaning to the work you do.
  • Current HLTAID012 First Aid
