The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven Electronics Engineer to join our operation in Ringwood, Victoria. The Electronics Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the design of electronic & electrical products for the Electronics Division and direct support of Ampcontrol’s engineering global initiatives.

The Positions Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Undertaking detailed design of analogue and digital circuits, including firmware for both new products and improvements to existing products
• Identifying and undertaking detailed calculations, simulation, prototyping and test as required to ensure product performance and manufacturability
• Conducting design review and provide value feedback to the design
• Developing drawings, Bills of Materials, Fabrication Specifications and other information to support manufacturing and sales
• Provide engineering input for global Ampcontrol Engineering
• Manage the certification of products by liaising with the regulatory bodies, test houses and creating and providing the documentation for this purpose
• Support of test equipment and fixtures

What are we looking for from you?

Your willingness to be hands-on and thrive in a specialised and changing environment will be complemented by the following:

• Degree (or higher) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or other related fields
• Electronics Design Experience
• Excellent Design for manufacture and reliability skills
• Experience embedded programming skills
• Experience in Altium Designer schematic and PCB
• Prior experience with electrical systems is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in resolving problems – both technical and people management issues
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of the product development life cycle
