We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Liquor Department Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our Liquor store.

Position Summary
This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for an individual with proven retail management experience in the liquor industry who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the liquor store's operations, ensuring a smooth workflow, high customer satisfaction, and strong team performance. This position reports to the Company Director and Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the store's daily operations, including opening & closing procedures.

Lead and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service

Manage stock levels, product range, merchandising, and inventory control.

Implement promotions to improve store performance.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and WHS requirements.

Train, supervise, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance.

Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, and financial transactions.

Essential Criteria

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar retail management role, preferably in the Liquor industry.

Strong leadership skills.

Proven ability to drive sales and improve store performance.

Demonstrated experience in inventory management and stock control, and a sound knowledge of liquor products, including beer, wine, spirits and other alcoholic beverages , together with an understanding of liquor retail operations and customer preferences.

Excellent communication and customer service skills both orally and in writing. Proven ability to speak with Sales representatives and other stakeholders.

Sound understanding of retail POS systems and business operations. Demonstrated experience in implementing initiatives to improve sales and customer experiences.

High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and multitasking capability.

Willingness to work across varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements

Hold and maintain an ACT RSA Certification (Essential)

Full working rights in Australia (citizens, permanent residents, and eligible visa holders welcome to apply).

Communicate effectively in English (Essential)

Must be able to commute reliably to work - This is an in-person role; there are no flexible working arrangements available to accommodate working from home for this position.

Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per annum + Superannuation, depending on experience
