Permanent Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Position Profile: In this role, you will manage, coordinate, and provide competent midwifery care within the scope of practice, using your leadership and advanced skills. You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of midwives, registered nurses, enrolled nurses, unregulated care workers, and students, ensuring a high standard of woman-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced level evidence-based midwifery care in accordance with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Decision-Making Framework.
• Maintain the safety and quality of care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation for women within the first and second trimester of pregnancy.
• Assume a leadership role in decision-making processes.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary team members: obstetric, social worker, theatre teams to ensure provision of compassionate high-quality care within the EPAS.

Ideal Candidate:

• A valid registration in the category of Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in evidence-based midwifery care.
• Ability to function effectively as both a team leader and team member in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of quality and risk management principles in practice.
• Current awareness of legislative obligations in Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and Occupational Safety and Health.
• Strong computer skills to support clinical and administrative tasks.
