Tourism NT is searching for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will elevate the Northern Territory’s global profile as the ultimate travel destination. As the CMO, you will lead a talented and dynamic team, driving innovative marketing and distribution strategies that showcase the Northern Territory’s unique offerings. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Territory’s tourism future, developing and executing marketing initiatives that increase visitation, boost spending, and elevate our brand presence globally.

You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders – from tourism operators to government entities – and represent Tourism NT at industry forums, advocating for outcomes that enhance the Northern Territory’s competitive edge.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate global marketing and distribution strategies in response to economic trends, social changes, and industry developments.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the marketing team, leveraging resources to craft and deliver strategies that position the Northern Territory as the destination of choice for leisure travelers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with industry stakeholders, tourism operators, and government entities to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Represent Tourism NT in inter-jurisdictional forums, committees, and industry events, championing key messages and enhancing the Northern Territory’s position as a premier tourism destination.
  • Prepare strategic reports, briefings, and communications for internal and external stakeholders ensuring clear and effective messaging.
