Campsite Co-ordinator

Join Scouts NSW as a Centre Coordinator, based at our Bundilla Camp site located in Winston Hills.
Bundilla Scout Camp is in a bushland setting in the suburb of Winston Hills being located some 6 kms and 10-15 minutes from Parramatta station. The current facilities have accommodation for more than 100 people and features meeting rooms, dining rooms, semi-commercial kitchens along with 2 separate large outdoor green areas for camping and activities.
This is a newly created part-time role (3 days per week) where your leadership and outdoor education expertise will shape unforgettable experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & financial performance: Drive commercial initiatives to promote the campsite accommodation and activities through partnership opportunities with the aim to maximise Campsite Utilisation
Finance: Meet operational and financial targets for the campsite. Manage campsite expenditure in line with approved budget. Ensure all profit and loss (invoicing and debtors) are accurate and timely within the guidelines.
Quality of Service: Drive a culture of excellent customer service and campsite presentation. Promptly resolve problems/issues and maintain excellent campsite condition by engage suitably qualified and approved contractors and trades people for the delivery of maintenance
Leadership: Build a high-performance team, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of accountability by setting and discussing performance metrics, goals and KPIs with the team.
Administration: Manage bookings and invoicing through centralised accounts process, manage the centre calendar, and ensure facility is clean, properly maintained, safe for use, functional and adequate for the size and nature of the incoming customers.
WHS: Follow safety guidelines, conduct inspections, and maintain a secure environment.
Required Experience & Skills:
Significant experience in outdoor education or similar fields.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Budget management and commercial development experience.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Ability to establish positive relationships and partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of outdoor education principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and numerical proficiency for budget planning.
Drive and ambition to achieve challenging targets.
Experience collaborating with schools and public sector organisations.
Clearances:
Prior to commencement, candidates must have a current Working with Children Check (Employed) clearance, undergo background checks, and provide results of a National Police Check.
