We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified accountant director to join our highly experienced Board of Directors comprising Aboriginal directors drawn from the local community, together with specialist, skill-based directors, and to play a key role in guiding the company's future strategic direction and continued success. The Board operates in a distinctive, collaborative governance model and this is a unique opportunity to join us in contributing to the economic, cultural and social wellbeing of Central Australia and the Aboriginal community.
Yeperenye Pty Ltd is a successful indigenous, privately owned, property investment and management company, based in Alice Springs. It has six (6) retail and six (6) commercial properties in Australia, of which nine (9) are in Alice Springs and three (3) in alternate locaons around Australia.
Our current Board consists of seven (7) directors and we are seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified persons for our retiring Accountant Director position for a term of five (5) years. Interested parties with suitable commercial experience and hold no less than 10 years' experience practising as an accountant whilst having held a certificate to practise as an accountant under a practising certificate issued by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia are invited to apply.
Indigenous persons with requisite skills and expertise are encouraged to forward an expression of interest. The qualifications and skills criteria of the Accountant Director, relevant position description, directors' fees and term of office, and its role and responsibilities will be provided upon request of interested persons.
