Business Improvement Specialist

Job Description

About the Role:

As a Business Improvement Specialist for Systems, Automation & AI, you’ll sit at the intersection of operations, technology and innovation, partnering closely with the Continuous Improvement team and wider business to identify and deliver smarter ways of working.

Working under an experienced Continuous Improvement leader, you’ll go beyond traditional CI - owning both the thinking and the building. You’ll identify where AI and automation can unlock real value, then design, prototype and deploy solutions that drive measurable outcomes across customer experience and commercial operations and sales.

For a passionate transformation specialist, this is a unique opportunity to get hands-on with modern AI tooling while shaping large-scale operational change. With Domain now part of the Costar Group, you’ll be joining at a pivotal moment - where innovation, scale, and career pathways are accelerating.

Sitting within one of Domain’s most visible teams, you’ll enjoy autonomy, meaningful problem-solving, and exposure to cross-functional leaders - while building a future-ready skillset spanning AI, systems, automation, and transformation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Discover and diagnose opportunities - map end-to-end journeys, uncover inefficiencies, and identify where AI and automation can reduce effort, cost and complexity.
  • Design smarter ways of working - translate business needs into streamlined workflows that embed AI responsibly and enhance frontline performance.
  • Build and deploy solutions - rapidly prototype, test and scale AI agents, automations and system configurations across the tech stack.
  • Own automation outcomes - connect systems, integrate APIs, and implement practical solutions that remove manual work and improve speed to value.
  • Prioritise what matters most - assess impact, build ROI cases, and shape a pipeline of high-value initiatives aligned to business goals.
  • Lead structured testing and rollout - own UAT end-to-end, run pilots in live environments, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose before scaling.
  • Drive adoption and capability uplift - create documentation, deliver training, and coach teams to confidently work with AI-enabled processes.
  • Track and communicate impact - design KPIs, build dashboards, and report on efficiency gains, cost reductions, and experience improvements.
  • Partner across the business - act as a bridge between Operations, Sales, Product, Engineering, Data and AI Governance to turn ideas into execution.
  • Enable safe, scalable AI - optimise knowledge bases and ensure ethical, compliant AI usage is embedded into daily workflows.

Ideally You’ll Have:

ESSENTIALS:

  • Proven experience delivering system change with AI-enabled solutions at the core, including system design and configuration (ideally within CRM and ERP environments).
  • Hands-on exposure to system governance, UAT, reporting links and automation design.
  • Strong capability in mapping and optimising processes to identify where AI can meaningfully reduce effort, improve quality/customer experience or increase speed.
  • Familiar with change management frameworks.
  • Curiosity, pragmatic thinking and an appreciation for how AI can help (without hindering).

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Operations, IT, Engineering or related field.
  • UAT or systems testing qualifications
  • Dashboard or reporting platform certifications

What’s In It For You:

We're the right-sized business for you to make a real impact, with a workplace culture where you can be you. There’s so many perks! Here’s some of the favourites…

  • Hybrid working policy
  • Up to 20 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers.
  • Wellbeing leave, and the opportunity to buy extra leave days.
  • Leadership development programs, LinkedIn Learning and more.
  • Regular social events including our famous Innovation Days and annual BBQ!
