Apprenticeship - Engineering Mechanical Shipbuilding Employment Pathways (SEP) Albert Park, SA. PEER Albert Park, South Australia, Australia. This 4-year Apprenticeship offers nationally accredited training, awarding a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical with a fitter and machinist focus. Training is delivered through the PEER Group Training Organisation (GTO) at Albert Park in collaboration with TAFE SA (Regency Campus), alongside onsite work placements with employers at the forefront of the defence industry in various locations across SA.
You will be mentored and supported throughout the apprenticeship. PEER provides a dedicated Apprentice and Trainee Supervisor, plus access to a team of professionals and support mechanisms from Mas National, TAFE SA and host employers. 98% of PEER apprentices secure employment in their chosen field upon completion.
You’re motivated, passionate, and committed to pursuing a rewarding career within the rapidly growing defence industry. You’re punctual, well-presented, reliable, and prepared to complete a 4-year apprenticeship. Health and Safety is important to you. You are a great team player, enjoy problem solving, and like working with your hands while also having a sound level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.
This 4-year program provides nationally accredited training and work placements with employers in the defence sector. You will receive a competitive wage in line with the National Training Wage, including annual leave, personal leave, and superannuation. PEER aims to financially reward apprentices as you develop future skills. The role is embedded in the defence industry with opportunities across SA.
