  • Casual position located in Turner & Macgregor ACT
  • Base hourly rate $35.12 plus 25% casual loading
  • 12% super

This is a hands-on, heart-led role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with caseworkers to provide practical, on-the-ground support to families navigating complex challenges.

From helping a parent get to an important appointment, to supporting a young person to access services, to stepping in during moments of crisis—you’ll be there when it matters most.

You’ll also play a key role behind the scenes, keeping things running smoothly through coordination, communication and accurate record keeping.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting families face-to-face with practical needs like transport, appointments and service access
  • Assisting caseworkers with day-to-day coordination, calls and urgent responses
  • Building trust and meaningful connections with children, young people and families
  • Advocating for families and linking them with the right supports
  • Working collaboratively with community partners and internal teams
  • Keeping clear, accurate records that support safe and effective practice
  • Responding to risk and safety concerns in line with Mandatory Reporting Guidelines

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • A Diploma in Community Services (or similar) or relevant experience
  • Experience working with children, young people and families (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
  • Cultural awareness and a commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and diverse communities
  • Current WWVP and driver’s licence with good driving history
