In this role you will have the opportunity to work in the field on a variety of high‑end and rewarding projects and be part of a team committed to achieving success and quality results.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects nationally as part of the Environmental Team, delivering services in occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, work health and safety (WHS), and environmental compliance (auditing).

This role is based in Newcastle, NSW and would suit candidates open to relocating to the Hunter region for the opportunity to combine career growth with a coastal lifestyle.

How you’ll make a difference
  • Providing occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, and WHS advice.
  • Delivering occupational hygiene and WHS and environmental services in the field, including field sampling, hazardous building material inspections (asbestos and lead), indoors and outdoors air quality assessments, asbestos clearance inspections, air monitoring and microbiological inspections.
  • Working directly with clients to build, maintain, and strengthen trusted professional relationships.
  • Supporting projects with practical guidance on WHS legislation and best practice.
  • Undertaking fieldwork across NSW and throughout Australia, including travel to regional and remote locations.
  • Preparing high‑quality technical reports, clearance certificates, and management plans.
The qualities that help you thrive
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, WHS, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in asbestos and hazardous materials work, including current Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) or a willingness to work toward this qualification.
  • Strong technical report‑writing skills, with experience preparing clear, well‑structured reports and proposals.
  • Hold a current, valid driver’s licence.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice; broader APAC jurisdictional knowledge is regarded as an advantage.
