Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this highly respected Aboriginal Health Service in the recruitment of an Acting Chief Executive Officer.

About your Role
If you are an experienced and values-driven leader able to step into the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer then this is perfect for you. This is the perfect role if you are looking for a 3-6 month fixed term contract. There is also the likelihood of the position possibly becoming an ongoing opportunity.
You will be reporting directly to the Board to provide strategic and operational oversight during a defined transition period. Your role will be to ensure continuity of services, organisational stability, and alignment with strategic priorities.
You are also responsible for implementing strategy and policy, overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting the Executive Management Team, and ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and funding obligations.

To be eligible you must have experience in:
  • Senior executive leadership experience in health, community services, or a comparable not-for-profit environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations and Aboriginal communities.
  • Sound knowledge of governance frameworks, including the CATSI Act and Board–CEO accountabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex service delivery environments.
  • Strong financial literacy and experience overseeing organisational budgets.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A calm, solutions-focused leadership style suited to a transitional appointment.
