We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to support the delivery of a major cyber security transformation program within a leading energy and utilities organisation. This role will play a critical part in ensuring quality delivery across a portfolio of strategic cyber security initiatives that support the security, resilience, and reliability of critical business and operational services.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the uplift of enterprise cyber security capabilities, working across multiple workstreams including identity and access management, cyber governance, network security, cloud security, operational technology (OT) security, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end to end delivery of complex cyber security projects and workstreams.
  • Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and governance activities.
  • Coordinate delivery across cyber security, technology, business, and operational teams.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage external vendors, delivery partners, and professional service providers.
  • Facilitate project governance forums and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with organisational cyber security standards and industry frameworks.
  • Support change management, business readiness, and adoption activities.
About You

You will bring strong experience as a Cyber Security Project Manager working across complex, multi stream projects, with the ability to manage enterprise wide cyber security initiatives, diverse stakeholder groups, delivery partners, and competing priorities within large and operationally complex environments.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience managing the end to end delivery of complex Cyber Security projects within large organisations.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security concepts, risk management practices, threats, and security controls.
  • Experience applying frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Essential Eight, and Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) requirements.
  • Demonstrated delivery experience across enterprise security initiatives including IAM, PAM, IGA, Enterprise MFA, Zero Trust, Network Segmentation, Active Directory Security, Data Loss Prevention, SaaS Security, PKI, and SASE.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and governance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing external vendors and technology delivery partners.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Highly Regarded
  • Experience delivering cyber security initiatives within energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, resources, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments and associated cyber security considerations.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or equivalent project management certification.
  • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Tools & technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, SailPoint, Microsoft Defender, Azure Security, Splunk, and enterprise security platforms.
