Job Overview\n
Reporting to the Marketing Director for Beverages, this role will be responsible for:
\n
\n - Driving the strategic direction of the Energy Portfolio through an aggressive growth plan across existing brands and new emerging energy spaces.
\n - Developing, managing, and implementing all aspects of the Marketing Mix, including expansion and growth strategies, communications, innovation, activation, and strategic partnerships.
\n
Responsibilities\n
\n - Devise & execute Energy Category Portfolio Strategy for growth of existing portfolio and expansion into new energy occasions, both within current brand footprints and new to business utilising key consumer facing tools (U&A, Demand Spaces, Product review, Global Playbooks etc) and working in close collaboration with Insights Manager.
\n - Brand Planning – leveraging the Growth Navigator Principles and together with AU and NZ bottler partners deliver Brand Growth Strategies and initiatives that yield volume, share, and penetration KPIs.
\n - Lead the development of the 5‑year Innovation strategy for Energy, identifying NPD to drive new occasions or appeal to new buyers and ensuring stickability.
\n - Develop deep consumer understanding using multiple data sources to create best‑in‑class marketing strategies and plans, collaborating with the Insights Manager.
\n - Ensure Human Centricity drives creative and media briefs using TCP and creative excellence tools, delivering measurable impact and growth.
\n - Identify opportunities for collaboration across the Smith’s Marketing Leadership team, aligning goals with Schweppes, Smiths, and PepsiCo.
\n - Manage and track the energy portfolio investment end‑to‑end, seeking global L&S opportunities that deliver measurable ROI.
\n - Ensure local trademark protection and mitigate legal risk/exposure.
\n - Build relationships with Global Anchor Market for Energy and other relevant teams for partnership on innovation and communication.
\n - Work closely with the Bottler across AU and NZ to deliver joint business KPIs, using JBP, AOP, and brand planning processes.
\n - Understand and navigate the trading environment to drive consumer activity from the retailer and shopper perspective.
\n - Collaborate with Sales Execution to develop tailored activity for customers aligned with brand strategy.
\n - Provide marketing support for new business pitches on strategic accounts and identify new business opportunities.
\n - Develop effective, integrated relationships with agencies involved in key brands, ensuring they act as extensions of the brand team.
\n - Manage, align, and inspire key marketing agencies to develop consumer‑preferred and competitively advantaged insights and initiatives.

Qualifications\n
\n - Strong marketing strategy and brand planning experience.
\n - Expertise across communications, digital/social content, media, innovation, research, and agency management.
\n - Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
\n - Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
\n - Data‑driven with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
\n - Highly organized, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
\n - Creative problem‑solver with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
\n - Minimum 6 years of sales and/or marketing experience, ideally within FMCG or franchise environments.
\n - Proven experience in brand management, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional leadership.
\n - Track record of delivering successful innovation and NPD projects.
\n - Experience managing budgets and driving business outcomes through strategic marketing initiatives.
