We are recruiting on their behalf for a visionary Interior Designer. This role is central to transforming client aspirations into inspirational, lived realities. You will be instrumental in a collaborative process that spans from initial concept to final construction, ensuring design excellence, functional efficiency, and successful commercial outcomes at every project stage. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Design Brief Development & Strategic Consultation: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients, stakeholders, and management to define and articulate project objectives, spatial requirements, and constraints. Your analysis will form the strategic foundation for design concepts that align with both lifestyle aspirations and commercial goals. • Research, Analysis & Concept Formulation: Research and critically analyse spatial programming, functional efficiency, safety protocols, and aesthetic drivers specific to each project. Synthesise this research to formulate innovative and coherent design concepts that respond to next-generation lifestyle needs. • Design Communication & Visualisation: Professionally prepare and present a range of materials—including detailed sketches, illustrative diagrams, mood boards, and comprehensive plans—to effectively communicate design visions to clients, collaborators, and construction teams. • Material & Finishes Specification: Select, specify, and recommend functional and aesthetic materials, furnishings, fixtures, and products. Your choices will balance innovative design, durability, sustainability, and budget, contributing to the overall quality and feel of the interior environment. • Collaboration & Design Resolution: Negotiate and refine design solutions through ongoing dialogue with clients, management, suppliers, and construction staff. You will act as a key liaison, ensuring the design intent is preserved and enhanced through collaborative problem-solving. • Construction Documentation & Oversight: Detail and document selected designs into thorough construction documentation packages. Supervise and review the construction and implementation of interiors to ensure the highest standards of quality and fidelity to the approved design concept. Skills, Experience & Attributes • A formal qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. • Proven 1 year minimum of professional experience (3+ years preferred) in a similar role within an architectural or design practice, with a portfolio showcasing large-scale or complex projects. • Exceptional communication and client liaison skills, with the ability to interpret needs and present ideas persuasively. • High proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) for both documentation and visualisation. • A strong understanding of materials, building codes, construction methods, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) procurement. • A global design sensibility and a passion for creating spaces that improve quality of life and deliver tangible value.
