About Uniting Wesley Gardens

Uniting Wesley Gardens in Belrose supports eight separate households, each with between 14 and 46 residents, and is nestled in beautiful bushland with views of the valley and ocean. Our team works collaboratively to ensure the community is thriving—partnering closely with subject matter experts and the Service Manager to deliver care and experiences that are meaningful, engaging, and person-centred.

About the Role

As the Deputy Service Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the highest standard of care for our residents. You’ll collaborate closely with the Service Manager and multidisciplinary team to ensure operational excellence, quality clinical outcomes, and a culture of compassion and safety. You will have extensive experience in Dementia and complex care.

What do we need you to do? / You’ll take the lead in:

  • Providing clinical leadership and mentoring, especially in dementia-specific care.
  • Driving person-centred case management, ensuring care plans support independence and dignity.
  • Overseeing compliance with aged care standards, audits, and clinical governance.
  • Managing daily operations including staff rostering, incident management, and WH&S procedures.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners.

What do we need you to bring?/ What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who thrives in a values-driven environment and brings:

  • Registered Nurse qualification and current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 2 years of post-registration clinical experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in dementia care, including complex behaviour management and person-centred approaches
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire staff to uphold high standards of care
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, risk management, and AN-ACC processes

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Aged Care, Dementia Care, Health Service Management or similar
  • Training or certification from the Case Management Society (CMSA)
