Jett Building and Construction is now seeking to fill a Senior Management Position: Business Manager - Building and Construction to lead the business as it continues to expand, including management of major project delivery within the Central Queensland region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of project schedule
• Engage, direct, and lead a team of experienced Civil and Construction personnel
• Management of sub-contractors
• Accountability of HSE standards, Policies, and Processes
• Identify, monitor and develop high levels of compliance and quality assurance
• Oversee plans and specifications of the work set out in the contract
• Develop scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, budgets, contract bids, shop drawings and deliverable schedules relative to tender package
• Oversee cost management, scheduling, profit and loss, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections, close-outs and client relations
• Close out projects on time and on budget, and meet or exceed client expectations

Required Attributes and Experience:

• Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and driving operational efficiencies
• Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties
• Highly motivated and client-focused
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Construction Manager
• Proven leadership skills
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience in building & construction
• Excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills
• Passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team
• Understand the requirements and ensure compliance with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (QBCC Act).
• Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management)
• QBCC Open Builders Licence
• Business Management
