Inquisitive is seeking a full time Publishing Editor who is hard working, capable and has outstanding communication skills, to complete a variety of editorial, publishing and licensing tasks.

About the role

We are seeking a Publishing Editor with a can-do attitude and all-rounder experience with knowledge to manage a variety of editing, publishing, administrative and licensing responsibilities.

Reporting to the English Publisher and working with our world-leading education team, you will help develop content and publish units that will support teachers and foster a love of learning for the next generation of Australian learners. In addition, we are seeking someone who has excellent written English skills, including exceptional grammar, spelling and punctuation.

• Proofreading and copy editing lessons and eBooks
• Licensing books and videos
• Publishing Primary Humanities and English units using our internal publishing tool
• Liaising with the Inquisitive Product, Operations and Marketing teams
• Working closely with other subject teams and digital designers

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Advanced working knowledge of Google and Microsoft suite applications
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• The ability to multitask and learn quickly
• The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to meet the needs of multiple demands as they arise

Experience working in an editing role or in Primary schools is also desirable.
