The Opportunity

Reporting to the CollegePrincipal, the Director of Business Operations is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. It provides strategic oversight of all non-academic areas of the College, including:
  • Finance and commercial management
  • Corporate services, risk, compliance and governance
  • Human Resources and organisational culture
  • Property, facilities and ICT strategy
You will act as a trusted advisor to the Principal and Board, ensuring strong financial stewardship, effective systems, and operational excellence aligned with the College’s mission and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and delivery of business and operational strategies.
  • Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring sound governance and compliance.
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide high-level advice to the Principal and College Board.
  • Manage HR, culture and wellbeing programs across the organisation.
  • Drive capital works, ICT improvements and campus development.
  • Embed best practice in risk, OHS and compliance frameworks.
About You

You’re a strategic and people-focused leader who can balance commercial performance with integrity and care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by both purpose and results.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, HR or a related discipline
  • Membership with CPA, CA or IPA
  • 5+ years’ senior leadership in operations, finance or corporate services
  • Strong governance, risk and compliance experience
  • Proven financial acumen and strategic insight
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Desirable
  • Experience in education, not-for-profit or faith-based sectors
  • Knowledge of VRQA and Child Safe Standards
