Responsibilities

As a Social Worker at Northcott, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, including Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists. You will provide contemporary, evidence‑informed therapies that support clients in achieving their goals.

You will take an interprofessional approach, working closely with therapists to ensure customers receive holistic and coordinated support. You will build and maintain a referral network and strong relationships with relevant external organisations, ensuring interim and ongoing support is available for our customers.

This role involves travel across Northcott’s service centres, with a company vehicle provided. You will also mentor and support colleagues, driving positive outcomes for customers and contributing to continuous learning.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in disability services or other relevant community services sector.
  • A degree in Social Work and/or Human Services, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Active membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated clinical competencies and commitment to best practice.
  • Experience providing staff mentoring, training and support on job‑related training needs.
  • Flexibility to travel to Northcott service centres to provide customer support.
  • Availability to provide on‑call support when required.
