We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Lead to join our Services business, you will act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders, providing financial leadership, insightful analysis and strategic decision support to improve business performance and profitability. The role is full-time and based in our Brisbane office. This is an opportunity for a motivated finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing outcomes, developing people, and driving continuous improvement across a dynamic business environment.

About the Role\n

As Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting and business insights while leading a small finance and administration team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Operations and Contract Managers to support business performance and decision-making.
  • \n
  • Leading month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • \n
  • Providing detailed financial analysis, commentary and performance insights to management.
  • \n
  • Monitoring contract profitability, cost control, revenue performance and working capital.
  • \n
  • Managing project financial reporting, including forecasts, cash flow and margin analysis.
  • \n
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and financial policies.
  • \n
  • Leading and developing finance and administration team members.
  • \n
  • Driving process improvements, reporting efficiencies and commercial outcomes.
  • \n
  • Supporting financial evaluations, business modelling and risk assessments across projects and contracts.
  • \n
About You\n

You are a proactive and commercially focused finance professional who can translate financial data into meaningful business insights and influence stakeholders at all levels. To be successful, you will bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • \n
  • Extensive experience in senior finance, commercial or business partnering roles.
  • \n
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting capability.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting operational, project-based or contract-driven businesses.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including team development and coaching.
  • \n
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
  • \n
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.
