We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Sheet Metal Worker to join our growing team. Role As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and structures. This includes working with materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, and galvanised iron for applications in construction, HVAC, and industrial installations. You will collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople, and site managers to deliver precise and safe workmanship that aligns with project specifications. Key Responsibilities & Duties - Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for fabrication and installation. - Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, machines, and cutting equipment. - Assemble and join sheet metal components using welding, riveting, and fastening techniques. - Install sheet metal products, such as ductwork, roofing, flashing, panels, and frameworks on construction sites. - Perform modifications or repairs on existing installations, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. - Operate and maintain workshop machinery and tools with care and attention to safety protocols. - Conduct inspections and quality checks on finished products or installations. - Comply with all site safety requirements and Advanced Group’s work health and safety (WHS) procedures. Skills & Qualifications - AQF Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal Working) or similar (ANZSCO Skill Level 3). - Minimum 3 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, or maintenance. - Proficiency in working with a range of sheet metal tools and machinery. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. - White Card (Construction Induction). - Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport. Australian citizens and permanent residents encouraged to apply. Salary & Location Salary: $78,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience). Location: Advanced Group Australia, Guildford NSW 2161.
