OGIP is a high functioning group of people who are responsible for ensuring DCJ’s compliance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act), as well as complying with subpoenas and statutory orders relating to the provision of information.


We offer very flexible work practices in a very supportive environment. On the job training will be provided.


What you’ll do


You will be responsible for deciding applications for information lodged with DCJ under the GIPA Act, conducting privacy internal reviews, handling applications for access to information under the PPIP Act, facilitating the production of material for subpoenas, statutory orders and Standing Order 52s. Vital to your success in the role is a high level of written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage simultaneous issues and competing priorities.


What we’re looking for


Roles may require the following checks/clearances:


  • Fingerprint checks are required to be conducted at a Police Station and obtained prior to commencing with DCJ.
  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
  • Appointments are subject to reference checks.
