Melbourne Private Hospital is seeking Housekeeping Assistants and Cleaners to join our team. We have permanent and casual positions available to suit your lifestyle.

You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieving high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this fast paced and varied environment across the Hospital. This role will see you cleaning in a variety of areas across the Hospital including patient rooms, corporate offices and hallways.

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.

As Cleaner/Housekeeping Assistant your responsibilities will include:

• Provide high standard of cleaning services

• Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients

• Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

Selection Criteria:

• Experience in Hospital/Hotel/Airline cleaning (preferred not essential)

• Time management skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Attention to detail

• Works well independently and within a team

• Available weekend and on call shifts
