About us

Gippsland Victoria is home to our Darnum site. Our farmers milk is made into a range of nutritional powders and whole, skim and fat-filled milk powders for domestic and international export markets.

About the opportunity

As a Quality Coordinator at Fonterra, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems with a strong focus on documentation. You will be responsible for managing and organizing quality documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting our continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and records.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and feedback for document creation and updates.
• Support the implementation of quality management systems and continuous improvement projects.
• Train and assist staff on proper documentation procedures and the importance of maintaining accurate records.
• Administer document control processes, including version control, distribution, and archiving.
• Participate in internal and external audits and prepare documentation for audit purposes

About you:

We are looking for individuals that have prior quality/laboratory and compliance experience within a food manufacturing environment. This role would suit a strong and effective communicator with excellent organisation and planning skills.

You must also demonstrate:

• Good understanding of food safety principles, and quality control methods and processes
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the food/dairy manufacturing industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Intermediate IT/Computer skills with prior SAP experience desirable
