What’s the role?

Reporting into the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor, this role works with the Digital Director to produce content for Stellar’s social media accounts - spanning Instagram, TikTok, Facebook et al - to maintain the highest level of engagement and draw new audiences

This role involves a Sunday morning shift, as well as weekdays and can occasionally require flexible hours for a special event coverage

Key Responsibilities

  • Amplify exclusive, originally produced stories and photo shoots from Stellar, the Something To Talk About podcast and The Binge Guide
  • Attend Stellar photo shoots on assignment to capture behind the scenes imagery, both BTS photos and video content

  • Manage social media rollout/plan

  • Edit reels/videos scheduling posts

  • Write accurately, punchy captions (including SEO) and source photos

Who are you?

  • You work fast and efficiently to tight deadlines, and can adapt and respond to the changing demands of the news cycle (including major global events, such as the Oscars, Olympics and Met Gala) with ease
  • You are up to date with entertainment and lifestyle trends/taste-makers, and have an awareness of the news agenda for the day

  • You write accurate and engaging headlines and captions with flair, and you have a sixth sense for what will go viral

  • Video editing experience is essential

  • You’re up to date with social media and trends as they happen

  • A degree in journalism or professional communications would be highly regarded
