- Provide direction and assist in driving the QPS Strategic Plan through the provision of intelligence services to Commands and Regions in the assessment of problem places, cases and issues.- Provide high level analytical advice and support to QPS officers in relation to targeting strategies.- Plan and prepare complex intelligence assessments in relation to crime and other community safety matters utilising accepted intelligence processes.- Establish and maintain effective networks within the QPS and with external partners and stakeholders.- Develop and implement effective work practices with a focus on continuous improvement.- May be required to provide supervision and direction to other staff members.- Utilise technology to provide open source and social media enhancement to support organisational priorities
- Other: -A knowledge of online collection techniques will be highly regarded.-The successful applicant will be required to perform duty within any Group/Unit in the surrounding area where State Intelligence Group/Intelligence Directorate conducts business-The successful applicant may be required to undergo psychometric assessment prior to appointment.-Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.-Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimal level of Negative Vetting Level 1 (see additional information).-The successful applicant/s must undertake intelligence training delivered by the Queensland Police Service in line with current policy.-A three shift rotational roster is a requirement of the role
