Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Port Hedland, Karratha and Broome

Fortescue are currently seeking an Entry level Drilling Offsider to join the Water Well Drilling team for an exciting opportunity at Cloudbreak

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of drill rig support equipment (mobile plant) in accordance with the manufacture’s (OEM) specifications and Fortescue procedures
• Identify when consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the rig
• Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings to ensure work safe compliance and identify deficiencies and action plans
• Maintain & operate vehicles, tools and equipment to company standard to ensure the continuous operation of the rig
• Deliver general tasks by keeping drilling area clean and tidy to ensure hazards are identified /mitigated & follow all drilling safe work instruction (SWI)
• Participate in water well drilling industry pathway training
• Conduct manual labour duties in an outdoor environment

Qualifications and Experience

• Current Australian HR-B drivers license mandatory
• Currently High Risk Work License - LF (Forklift) ticket or the ability to obtain this within the first 2-3 months of employment
• High level of safety awareness and orientation with the ability work well within a team and autonomously
• A proactive attitude alongside a desire to join the team on a FIFO roster
