Yard Hand/Logistics/Operations Support (GreenSpaces Horticultural Services)

GreenSpaces, is a (large) family-owned business that was established in 2009. The company is in a major growth phase and has been growing for the past five years at an elevated pace. GreenSpaces, is located in Tingalpa. 

We have a requirement for a motivated Yard Hand/Operations Support to join our team. This can be a Part Time/Full-Time Position, working Monday to Friday with agreed working hours flexible.

The Role - Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Vehicle management: schedule service, minor repairs, vehicle detailing after every service.

• Trailer management: schedule service, minor repairs, trailer detailing after every service.

• Equipment management and maintenance. 

• Carry-out scheduled servicing and minor repairs to equipment, and organise larger repairs with service providers. 

• Organise signage, trackers, fuel cards, lockers etc with new vehicles or replacements. 

• Conduct regular checks on first aid kits and fire extinguishers, replacing them as necessary. 

• Carry out regular inspections and detailing of all machinery. 

• Purchasing consumables and one-off supplies as advised by Operations Manager or Project Manager.

• Delivery of plants and supplies to crews that are onsite. 

• General maintenance of office area, warehouse & yard.  

•  A vehicle is supplied during work hours. 

The Person:

• No horticultural knowledge or experience necessary. 

• A great approach to customer service.

• A real team player.

• Ability to communicate with clarity;

• C open licence (Manual), or above.

• Well presented.

• Accepting of accountability and responsibility.

• Displays good discipline in relation to time-management. 

• The ideal candidate will be someone with energy and enthusiasm.

• Disciplined behaviour: flawlessly follow established processes & complete checklists. 

• "Out of the Box" thinker and the ability to think on the fly.
