About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Workforce Planning Manager due to continuous growth within the business. Workforce Plannings primary purpose is to ensure all projects are undertaken with sufficiently skilled people to ensure success. The Workforce Planning Manager is required to oversee the timely and efficient training and movement of Contract Resources (CR) staff to meet the Australian and New Zealand Business (ANZ) needs while ensuring compliance with CR policy and procedures. Role Accountabilities:
  • Be a focal point for the provision of workforce planning services within the company and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimise the Workforce Planning function ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations
  • Identify areas where costs can be reduced and report back to General Managers
  • Ensure all decision-making is undertaken within approved limits of delegated authority.
  • Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on project employees.
  • Manage Workforce Planning Team ensuring:
  • Crew sheets are submitted for review by Project Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Crew training requirements are identified,
  • Training organised provided to personnel by approved providers.
  • Crews mobilised are suitably qualified to perform duties as determined by key stakeholders.
  • Crews are aware of all travel arrangements, employment conditions and, where possible, immediate onsite requirements.
  • Mobilise additional crew members to site when required.
  • Site inductions organised as required in conjunction with Project Managers and HR
  • Submit medical requests through Company preferred medical provider.
  • Liaise with HR/HSEQ when required in relation to fit for work requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with employees regarding upcoming projects.
  • Work closely with Operations and HR to identify high performers and performance issues
  • Represent the company appropriately in dealing with external parties including clients, suppliers and other agencys as necessary.
  • Prepare (and where required present) daily/weekly/monthly reports & strategic plans
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:
  • 4+ years experience in a Senior or Team Lead position leading a Mobilisation or Workforce Planning team.
  • Significant people management skills
  • Experience managing projects within the Oil & Gas industry desirable
  • Contract service provider experience
  • Forecast planning and tracking records of consistently delivering projects within budget on time using proactive actions early to address projected shortfalls
  • Trade or Technical background desirable however not essential
