Work Location: Fortescues Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 4D/3R; 4D/3R; 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

We are seeking a highly experienced Superintendent Technology - Site Technology Operations to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of critical technology systems supporting operational activities at our Pilbara site. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a team of technical experts responsible for maintaining and enhancing operational technology, including fleet management systems, in-pit wireless communications, and digital radio networks. You will ensure 24/7 technology support, proactively address equipment failures, and drive preventative maintenance strategies to optimize system performance.

This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive operational excellence. You will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and technology vendors to enhance site technology infrastructure and support autonomous mining operations. With a focus on continuous improvement, change management, and adherence to safety and compliance standards, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of mining technology at Fortescue.

• Oversee the delivery and maintenance of critical operational technology systems, ensuring 24/7 availability to support mining operations.
• Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive high performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve technology systems, ensuring alignment with current and future operational needs.
• Monitor and analyze equipment failures, recommending replacements and upgrades to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance schedules and SAP maintenance plans for all operational technology assets.
• Act as a key liaison between Technology Operations, site leadership, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and technology vendors to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Champion safety, compliance, and best practices in technology operations, ensuring adherence to Fortescues values and HSE policies.

• Minimum 7+ years experience managing technical support teams.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related experience.
• Proven experience with managing professional relationships.
• Proven experience in Operational Technology roles with exposure to mine operations and specifically autonomous operations.
• Experience managing technology outages and managing teams through complex fault finding.
