We are seeking a Senior Tester/Verification Engineer to join our Perth based team. This can be either a permanent or long term contract engagement and suitable candidates must hold Australian Working Rights. This role will suit a skilled professional with a solid understanding of the product lifecycle, focusing on testing and verification for autonomous solutions within complex distributed systems. Reporting to the Verification Coordinator, this full-time role involves executing verification processes to ensure systems meet technical specifications. A background in the Minin industry is highly advantageous.

This role collaborates with product, architecture, and development teams to identify and resolve defects, contributing to the delivery of reliable and high performing autonomous systems.

Responsibilities:

• Execute verification processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with technical specifications during the verification phase.

• Test Development and Execution: Develop and execute manual and automated tests, including functional, reliability, scalability, performance, hardware-in-the-loop, and experimental testing, while documenting results.

• Defect Identification and Resolution: Identify, document, and track defects in systems, collaborating with development teams to address issues such as real-time processing and system durability.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Support verification alignment with technical goals, working with product owners, architects, and developers to ensure system quality.

• Risk Mitigation Support: Assist in mitigating risks, such as network reliability and data synchronization, under the guidance of the Verification Coordinator.

• Quality Metrics Contribution: Contribute to tracking quality metrics (e.g., uptime, fault tolerance) to meet system standards.

• Reporting: Provide clear and concise reports on verification activities and system performance to the Verification Coordinator.

• Training and Support: Deliver on-the-job training to site maintenance teams and collaborate with training teams to develop training packages for autonomy projects.

Skills

• Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, with a focus on verificationʼs role in ensuring system quality.

• Proficiency in functional, automated, reliability, scalability, performance, hardware-in-the-loop, and experimental testing for distributed systems.

• Knowledge of autonomous mining systems and associated technical challenges.

• Analytical skills for diagnosing defects and evaluating test results.

• Clear communication to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.

• Experience with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Selenium) is desirable.
