Reservations Manager based Whitsunday Island

RESERVATIONS AND YIELD MANAGER

Located in the heart of the Whitsundays

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations and Yield Manager who will be responsible for achieving optimal sales and yield in relation to budgeted room revenue and occupancy.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Resort, its operations, and the local area, features and activities
• Updating third party websites for close-out dates, collaboration with Wholesalers and Travel and Agents
• Forecasting and monitoring forecast occupancy
• Group quoting, contracting and block management
• Forecasting- analyse market segments , daily trends to identify key needs and opportunities.
• Demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, inventory control.
• Real-time Inventory Management
• Cross Training Coordination of Front Office and Reservation Teams

Essential requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of all domestic wholesale companies
• Strong understanding of yield and revenue management
• 4 - 5 Star Hotel/Resort background
• MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint skills
• Good working knowledge of Site Minder and mapping of rates
• Previous experience with CMS including loading rates, wholesale allotments are essential.
• Thorough understanding of Front Office procedures and knowledge of computerised reservations/property management systems
• Vibrant telephone manner, excellent communication skills and professional presentation
• Task-driven focus and attention to detail ,superior time management and organizational skills
• Agree to undertake Responsible Management of Licensed Venue(RMLV certification
• Open Driving Licence
• Permanent Residency
