About the Team

The Workforce Mobility Placement (WMP) Program is an NSW Government initiative led by the Premiers Department. We focus on retaining talented public sector employees by matching individuals impacted by organisational change with available roles across government - before those roles are advertised externally. Our work keeps essential skills and experience within the sector and supports smoother career transitions. By facilitating placements without formal assessments or interviews, we help employees remain engaged and contributing to the work of government.

About the Role

As the Project Officer, Mobility, youll play a key role in delivering workforce mobility projects across the NSW public sector. Youll support employees affected by change, ensuring they are matched with new opportunities that align with their capabilities and aspirations.

This role offers a unique opportunity to coordinate workforce transition projects that make a real difference in peoples careers. Youll contribute to process improvements and policy development that shape government-wide approaches to workforce mobility. Engaging with stakeholders will be central to your work, helping to deliver practical and impactful outcomes. Youll also conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and inform strategic planning.
