About the RoleIn this role, youll play a crucial part in supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery, from contract award through to successful completion within our Civil and Infrastructure Customer Stream. Youll gain valuable experience in planning, execution, and close-out of projects, contributing to a diverse array of commercial, industrial, and defence sector projects across Queensland. Experience in bulk earthwork and/or waste facility projects would be highly regarded.
What You Will Do
Support Project Delivery: Assist the Project Manager with all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration for diverse civil and infrastructure projects.
Ensure Quality & Safety: Implement and adhere to quality requirements, company procedures, and robust safety protocols, including conducting risk assessments and participating in HSE initiatives.
Coordinate & Communicate: Act as a central point of contact for construction queries, liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and design consultancies, and prepare technical documentation.
Track & Report Progress: Monitor project budgets and schedules, prepare accurate progress claims and reports, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Lead & Innovate: Provide direction to team members, actively seek opportunities for value enhancement and process improvement, and proactively address potential issues.
What You Will Bring
Relevant Engineering Background: A degree or tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline, with 1-3 years of experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery, preferably in the Civil Engineering space.
Project Management Aptitude: Experience in contract administration, construction procurement, scheduling, and cost tracking.
HSE & Quality Focus: A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and a commitment to quality assurance.
Software Proficiency: Competency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project) and a willingness to learn ERP systems and project management platforms.
Key Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and numeracy skills, with a strong commercial understanding and the ability to manage high-stress situations.
Essential Credentials: Current White Card, drivers license, and the ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
What Will Set You Apart: (Desirable Skills
Bulk Earthwork and/or Waste Facility Experience: Demonstrated experience in projects specifically involving significant earthworks or waste facility construction/management.
ERP System Familiarity: Experience with ERP systems such as Pronto.
Advanced Project Platform Use: Proficiency with project management platforms like InEight, Aconex, or Procore.
