AI Talent is seeking a skilled and experienced Plasterer (Wall and Ceiling) to join our growing construction and interior fit-out team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying and fixing plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, acoustic ceiling panels, and other composite wall linings. Your work will involve both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring a high standard of finish and structural quality across all assigned tasks.

You will be expected to interpret building plans, install insulation systems, and apply finishing techniques that meet both aesthetic and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in delivering smooth, polished results. Responsibilities:

Determine appropriate plasterboard layouts based on plans and on-site specifications Measure, mark, cut, and position plasterboard sheets for walls, ceilings, and internal linings Secure plasterboard to battens, studs, or metal framing using screws or adhesives

Install insulation and vapour barriers as needed to support thermal and moisture control Prepare and fix corner beads to ensure clean finishes at joints and corners Cover joints and screw fixings with plaster compounds and smooth using brushes and sandpaper

Fix plaster cornices, ceiling centres, panel mouldings, and other decorative fittings Apply and finish acoustic, fireproofing, and insulating materials to ceilings and wall linings Straighten and level corners, angles, and wall surfaces to achieve a uniform appearance

Create textured finishes or decorative features in final coats where required Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to site safety protocols Qualifications and Skills:

AQF Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining, or equivalent qualification At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal education ANZSCO Skill Level 3

Proven experience in plasterboard installation, ceiling systems, and wall lining techniques Strong understanding of measurement, levelling, and plan interpretation Skilled in handling trowels, plastering tools, and finishing equipment

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Familiarity with WHS regulations and worksite safety practices Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Registration or licensing may be required depending on state requirements Permanent Residents (PR) and Australian Citizens are eligible to apply Job Type: Full-time
